NOTES ON BLACK KEYS v1:
The Black Keys is new and old, modern and retro, cool and garage all in one. I love how they sound like they stepped right out of the 70's and the guitar is so raw and unpolished but very interesting and hip. There are currently 2 DVDs - this one (vol 1) covers songs from both The Big Come Up and Magic Potion. (The other one, vol 2 is all El Camino and is available also.) Its not guitar hero stuff, but it is full of classic old school riffs and progressions played thru old tube amps and fuzz pedals. Bottom line is if you like the Black Keys you'll want to play these either on your own or with your own band.
