This DVD contains a series of lessons from a guitar player with 35 years experience playing, writing and teaching. The goal was to create a series of no-frills instructional videos which are the equivalent of good individual private lessons. The emphasis is on easy to follow lessons, light on ego and flashy production techniques but full of instructional value: showing, teaching and explaining rhythm and lead lines to some of the worlds greatest classic rock tunes. This series of DVD's personalizes the process and covers each lesson completely through demonstrations, explanation and close up views of the fingerings. You progress at your own pace - playing easier parts first and picking up more each time you play it!

This DVD series includes lessons that are designed to benefit a wide ranges of ages and abilities.  Good basic guitar abilities are a prerequisite of this series and it is gear toward a range within the intermediate category. Early intermediate students can find months of material to work on in each DVD - starting on easier songs and working up to the more difficult. The more experienced players may still find surprises in the easier material or just move more quickly to the more advanced details of the chords, riffs and leads.

Joe Bonamassa was a blues child prodigy who continued playing and learning from the greats that came before him while developing his own style. In the last few years his popularity has grown rapidly worldwide and is respected by guitarists everywhere for his talent, chops and tasteful and depth of guitar choices, especially in the blues and blues rock area. This DVD looks at some of his songs and tries to help the intermediate guitarist by examining some of his songs, and playing style. He has grown into a monster guitarist by studying the greats that came before him and now this DVD attempts to do some of the same for others by examining just a small part of his vast depth of blues rock playing and style.
